Hero Turn 5

All three hero warbands having to make route tests passed them, with Mother Ilone needing to use her Rabbit’s Foot to re-roll one of her dice to pass (whew)!

In the South, a Skink hero jumping from the building being used for supporting fire lost his footing, and fell to the ground stunned despite having had a re-roll from a rope and hook and an initiative of six! Missile fire from the heroes remaining in the covering fire building, mostly aimed at the Squigs, was ineffective.

The heroes near the hill charged after the running Goblins, and Barnard of the Brets finally closed with Skag, as the Augur Ilonike charged an Orc archer at Skag’s side. Both Ilonike and Barnard knocked down their opponents (take that, Skag!), while on the other side of the hill Sister Rowan took another archer of Skag’s assassins out of action beside a Saurus champion. Sister Rowan and the Saurus were trying to secure their position on the hill before the Squigs arrived!

In the battle of the ruin, Mother Ilone fired her Soulfire spell yet again, and one Orc warrior was slain along with a fried Goblin and a knocked down Goblin. A Goblin Guilliame had charged got in a sneaky blow, and took the Bretonnian Champion out of action! Brother Jerome slew the Goblin he was facing, and Sister Jade and Mother Ilone each knocked down their opponents. Outside the ruin, the Skink Priestess took out a knocked down Orc warrior, and a Skink and Saurus combined to take another warrior out. The side of the ruin where the Skinks had charged to support the Sisters was now clear.

In the North, the Barbarian charged a straggling Orc archer in town and dispatched it in a blizzard of attacks.

Orc Turn 5

Missile fire from the Orcs in the castle turret was again ineffective, and Skag himself and his remaining archer stood up into combat. Barnard and Skag fought to a stalemate, and so did the Augur and the Orc archer she was struggling with.

In the ruin, a remaining Goblin spearman fighting Mother Ilone was knocked down yet again, and offered to surrender and learn the ways of Sigmar. Mother Ilone scoffed at this pitiful display. “I’ll become your personal body servant!’, screamed the Goblin. The Goblin that had slain Guillame fled down an alley away from the ruin.

In the North, the Adventurer hero Da New Boy took an Orc spearman out of action, while the Noble and Elf Adventurer both fought to stalemates with Orc Archers.
